Success in Engineering and Research Pathways

August 18– 24, 2007
—An Engineering Summer Bridge Program

The Success in Engineering and Research Pathways summer bridge is a unique program that welcomes new, incoming School of Engineering students to UCSC prior to the start of Fall 2007. The purpose of this summer program is to give new students an “academic head start” to their engineering studies at UCSC. There will be a group of freshmen as well as a group of transfer students attending the program. Lodging (on-campus housing), meals, and materials are provided for the students. Each of them also receives a $200 stipend upon completion of the program which helps to offset travel costs or time away from summer employment. It is estimated that approx. 25-30 students will accept the invitation to attend.
